APS – X1 XTreme G-BOX Co2 Blowback Rifle Short – Black
An idea that was kind of abandoned a few years ago has been taken up and enhanced by APS. This was the concept of using a “gearbox” to convert an electric cannon to run on a propellant such as CO2 or green gas. This retains the realism and immersive qualities of using a gas blowback rifle while offering an abundance of perks, such as the aftermarket and parts compatibility that the AEG industry has to offer. APS has gone above and beyond by incorporating their “G.Box” system—which they refer to as such—into their recently released “XTreme” M4 stockless PDW. These look as well as they function, with a sleek, sophisticated, and tactical appearance. Top-tier, contemporary features on the shorty rifles include a short M-Lok handguard and a 20mm RIS rail that runs the length of the weapon, providing room for lasers and optics. Despite the incredibly short buffer tube, the blowback action is still functional. It is basically short stroked in comparison to other GBBRs. On the other hand, the stock may be switched out with the original TM standard Buffer tube if you want a stronger kick. On the end of the 14mm CCW threaded outer barrel, it features an amplifier muzzle device that looks aggressive, as well as an ambidextrous mag release and Quick Detach sling points. Compatibility with AEGs includes the charging handle, magazine release, handguard, stock, pistol grip, fire selector, and receiver. The Tokyo Marui GBB/VSR10 series is compatible with the hop up and inner barrel. Where necessary, APS included a large number of steel pieces in the G.Box’s design to ensure strength and dependability over time. According to APS, they have tested these for durability and after more than 35,000 rounds, they continue to function well. Amazing!
