AEGs are being equipped with electronic components thanks to a novel idea in Airsoft called the Electronic Firing Control System (EFCS). It is essentially a MOSFET that was installed in the OEM gearbox.

Through the EFCS, ARES Airsoft offers three additional advantages to all AEG users: the Gearbox Protection System, the Gear Sensor, and the Electronics Trigger System. With the ARES Electronic Programmer, EFCS version airsoft has four distinct fire mode options and lipo battery protection.

Gearbox Protection System
ARES created the Gearbox Protection System since they are aware that gearbox lockups are frequently the reason for airsoft damage. When the gearbox locks, EFCS has the ability to turn off the power if the user hits the trigger five times. This may alert the user to a potential danger. Reconnecting the battery will allow the user to reactivate the gearbox.

Gear Sensor
When the gear completes its cycle, the ARES Gear Sensor can detect it and halt it in the ideal location. This will guarantee that the piston remains in the front position and has three advantages: it lessens the strain on the spring, lengthens its lifespan, and conserves battery power.

Electronics Trigger System
The user can modify the trigger stroke (it can be changed to approximately a 2mm trigger stroke) and the Electronics Trigger System can extend the trigger life. Because of the user’s quicker trigger response, the semi-auto shooting frequency will increase.
