DESIGN
The CYMA SVU stands out due to its bullpup design, a layout that places the action and magazine behind the trigger group, allowing for a shorter overall rifle while preserving the full-length barrel for enhanced accuracy. This not only makes it easier to handle close quarters, but allows one hand manipulation. THe SVU-style muzzle brake is incorporated, helping to control recoil and maintain accuracy.

MATERIAL
The CYMA SVU features a full metal receiver that ensures durability and a robust performance and the nylon-reinforced polymer grip and stock enhance the rifle’s ergonomics.

OPTICS
The SVU integrates an SVD-style scope mount that utilizes a standard SVD/AK side mount. For additional accessory mounting, the rifle is equipped with a 20mm M1913 Picatinny rail on the aluminium M-LOK compatible handguard.

MAGAZINE COMPATIBILITY 
The CYMA SVU is compatible with a wide range of SVD-style magazines, including the standard 200-round SVD magazine included with the rifle. It also supports popular models from manufacturers such as A&K, ensuring ease of replacement and availability.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The SVU was developed as a response to the specific needs of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs during the First Chechen War. Originally intended to be a minor update to the SVD, the project quickly evolved as the designers recognized the need for a completely redesigned weapon to suit modern tactical requirements. The result is the SVU, a versatile, compact sniper rifle that can still deliver the same high-level performance as its predecessor, the SVD, while offering enhanced mobility and ease of operation.
