New technology has been applied in NiMH, which resulted in  improved energy efficiency and high voltages. NiMH batteries belong to a group of batteries, which possess huge energy density and that is why they possess larger capacity (comparing with older-type batteries) while the volume stays the same. The package made of NiMH cells may be perfectly applied in ASG replicas. Their undoubtful advantage is that they do not have such a memory effect as NiCd cells do, which lengthens their life span. The relation between weight and capacity is another positive feature of the battery.
