HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The S&T Sterling AEG (Steel – ST-AEG-66) is an accurate and highly detailed airsoft replica of the iconic Sterling MK.4 submachine gun, which served as the standard issue for the British Army from 1953 until 1994. As the L2A3, the Sterling was eventually replaced by the L85A1, but it still remains in active use in India as the Sub Machine Gun 1A1 and in the silenced 2A1 variant. This airsoft version brings the historical firearm into the modern world.
METAL BODY CONSTRUCTION
The Sterling AEG (ST-AEG-66) features a robust full metal body, including a steel upper and lower receiver. This all-metal construction ensures durability and realism, mimicking the original firearm’s solid build.
ADJUSTABLE HOP-UP SYSTEM
For improved accuracy and range, the Sterling AEG is equipped with an adjustable hop-up system. This feature lets users fine-tune the backspin on the BBs, allowing for better trajectory and consistent performance during extended skirmishes. The adjustable hop-up is crucial for fine-tuning shot distance and accuracy.
FOLDING STOCK FOR ENHANCED MANEUVERABILITY
Designed for flexibility, the folding stock offers exceptional maneuverability, allowing you to quickly adjust your shooting stance. When collapsed, the stock reduces the overall length to just 485mm, making it more compact and easier to handle in close-quarters combat. With the stock extended to 680mm, the gun provides a stable and comfortable shooting position for longer-range engagements
FULL METAL GEARBOX AND STEEL COMPONENTS
Equipped with a full metal 9mm custom gearbox, the S&T Sterling AEG is built for longevity and high-performance. The steel trigger, trigger guard, and front & rear sights replicate the original gun’s metal components, further enhancing the authentic feel and durability.
BATTERY
The Sterling AEG is powered by a 7.4v LiPo battery (in 2 sticks), which can be conveniently stored in the hand guard. To install the battery, simply unscrew the flame hider and insert the battery between the barrel and the hand guard. The vMini Type connector at the rear of the gun allows for easy connection to the rechargeable battery housed within the stock.
